Alaska Halibut Fishing
Halibut fishing in Alaska is very popular and for good reason. Alaska is a halibut hotspot and along with salmon and trout fishing is considered one of the best fishing locations in the world.
Alaska is renowned for large halibut, often called "barndoors". One halibut has measured in at 455 pounds! Most however are 20 to 80 pounds.
